Fishing is one of the risky professions aside from treat of weather condition, the way to catch the fish even the small ones or big ones it’s hard to catch even in this modern time. Technology helps some way but still the risk is there. Although there is an instrument to forecast weather but it’s not enough. Still we experience sea tragedy because of unpredictable weather condition.
Traditional fishing is more risky than the modern one, because traditional fishing didn’t use modern equipment for fishing and rely on physical capabilities of fisherman, some still using paddles for their boat to move. They don’t used machinery to pull out fishnets and board with small motorboat and not enough to survive with bad weather.
Modern fishing is using big boats with technology that helps to make fishing easy. They have the sonar that helps them locate the fish and the volume of fish. They use pulley and machinery to pull out fish nets. They are prepared than the traditional fishing for any bad weather condition. They have the kit for survival.
Even in the presence of modern technology, machinery, and other fishing equipments but still fishing is risky like what we saw in National Geographic and Discovery channel they have a show about how deadly to catch fish. Like catching sharks, Pollock fish, Ground fish, crabs, etc.
