Local government of Bunawan, Agusan del Sur are planning to make an eco-tourism park that will feature the biggest live crocodile in the Philippines. The idea comes after they captured the giant crocodile in Barangay Nueva Era, in town of Bunawan, Agusan del Sur last September 05, 2011.
Official believed that building Eco-tourism Park and the presence of the giant crocodile in the park will draw more local and foreign tourist to their town. Local official believed that through they will be known and the projects believed to boost their tourism industry.

The Hunting for Giant crocodile
The group set up a dozen of traps that made of woods and hard materials in different parts of river to catch the giant crocodile. The hunt intensify following reports of a crocodile attack in the community and some residence are missing. Luciano Auxtero a resident of Barangay Nueva Era said, “Malaki ang paniniwala ko na kinain ng buwaya ang nawawala kong kapatid.”
Local official told reporters that they set up more than ten traps and it took 21nights before they catch the giant crocodile in Nueva Era, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur. The Hunters group composed of 90 person from different government agencies and local residents. It took at least four hours before the crocodile was successfully pulled out of the river.
