The crocodile caught in Barangay Nueva Era, Bunawan, Agusan del Sur last September 03, 2011. Measured 21 ft or 6.4 meter long and 3.5 meter body width considered as the biggest crocodile caught in the world.
Theresa Mundita Lim, of the Philippines’ Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau, told the Associated Press that the Federal Wildlife Officials are trying to confirm whether the reptile is the largest crocodile ever captured in the world.
The previous record of the biggest crocodile was the Australian saltwater crocodile that only measured 17.97-foot-long (5.48-meter-long) and it was recorded in The Guinness Book of World Records, 3.03 ft smaller compared to the crocodile caught in the Philippines.
Scientist, Biologist and some official from The Guinness Book of World Records need to verify this claim because they are the one who have great knowledge about this thing. And only the scientist and biologist can tell if this crocodile caught in the Philippines was the biggest ever caught in the world.
