MANILA, Philippines — Manny Pacquiao is getting a guaranteed purse of more than $20 million – his biggest so far – when he battles Mexican nemesis Juan Manuel Marquez for the third time on Nov. 12 in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao’s take-home pay will bloat even more owing to his share in the pay-per-view (PPV) and gate receipts.
Marquez, in contrast, is earning his biggest paycheck of $5 million and a share as well in the PPV.
Against Shane Mosley last May, Pacquiao got $20 million up-front and a slice in the PPV sales.
Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum is upbeat of posting a new record for Pacquiao in PPV revenue by drawing not less than 1.5 million buys and as much as 2 million buys. The Mosley fight generated about 1.4 million buys. >>>continue<<<
