When I logged in my account on facebook message prompted on trying new profile format or waited until February 2, 2012. The date when facebook automatically implement the said new profile format, The Timeline profile format. For the sake of curiosity I’ve switched my account then, there follows some instruction on how to figure your new profile format. After following those instructions, several things i found something new.
Things to consider in Timeline profile format:

1. Privacy- using Timeline format enables you to changes privacy settings on every thing to manage who can access and to limit the views of what you have in your page. This time you can select the group of people to share, or delete some embarrassing photos, or you can hide them so that you still can see them.

2. Date- Timeline will allow you to change the date of your posts. So that it appears on exact date, you do and match up with other posts on same date. For instance, you post photos during your school days, you can set the date the time you took that picture and appear with other posts on that date.

3. Life Events- in a new profile format gives you control what you want to featured by clicking the star it indicates that post you want to be feature prominently. Then hide those you think its not good to share with others.

4. Cover Photo-an image that will appear on top of your page, aside from your old profile picture. the image that will splash across the top, can be a photo of your pets, or anything that reflects your personality. Take note that the dimension are more like a movie screen, enough to exposed everything. May your close-up pictures won’t work well.

5. Activity Log- by clicking on activity log will give you chance to view all your post at a glance and do the changes you want to them one by one. avoiding difficulties on changing other datas of your post, better to open one or two tabs so that you can still monitor the main timeline while do editing the older posts.
