Once again the negotiations for the mega-fight between the fighting congressman of the Philippines and the undefeated American boxer botched. This time the reason was the equal sharing scheme which the American boxer rejected.
Boxing trainer and Manny’s best friend Buboy Fernandez , reported that Team Pacquiao is still mulling over Foyd Mayweather jr.’s proposal to have a 70-30 revenue sharing should their still highly-anticipated match push through.
“Ang gusto raw kasi ni Pretty Boy (Mayweather) ay 70-30 ang revenue sharing kasama na ang pay-per-view shares, malaking pagkakaiba sa 50-50 na hatian na gusto ni Manny,” according to the report aired on Tuesday.
Fernandez added that the match will possible be either in June or October, contrary to Mayweather’s Cinco de Mayo.
The fighting congressman said that he has already picked his next opponent, whose name will be announced by his promoter Top Rank boss Bob Arum. It will be between Miguel Cotto, Timothy Bradley, Lamont Peterson, and rival Juan Manuel Marquez.
Manny “pacman” Pacquiao guaranteed that no matter who his opponent will be, “Masisiyahan ang mga tao para sa susunod na laban.”
