One of the most popular and most successful teams in the history of the NBA with 16 championships the Los Angeles Lakers, their last being in 2010 season. Lakers are considered as the most valuable NBA franchise according to Forbes, having an estimated value of $900 million, as of 2012.
Last season Lakers entered the playoffs as 3rd seed in Western Conference and defeated the Denver Nuggets in the first round in 7 games. Their 2011-2012 NBA campaign ended in the second round after losing to Oklahoma City Thunder with a 4-1 standing in their best of seven series.
This coming 2013 NBA season we can expect a different Los Angeles Lakers to campaign for a championship, last July 04, 2012, the two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash agreed to a sign-and-trade deal that would send him to the Lakers in exchange for the Laker’s 2013 and 2015 first round draft picks, 2013 and 2014 second round draft picks, and $3 million dollars. The trade will not be in effect until July 11, 2012.
And there been talks that Andrew Bynum prefers to leave Los Angeles Lakers before he will land to a free agency or included in a trade deal with Dwight Howard. There are two NBA teams that Adrew Bynum considered the Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks if it happens. Though, he also considered the Houston Rockets but it was said that he’s priority was the first two teams.
“Bynum has shown no indication to agree to an immediate extension if sent to Orlando as part of a Dwight Howard package,” quoted from Yahoo anonymous source.”
But the most interesting was the presence of the two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash, as we know that the Black Mamba Kobe Bryant was the Los Angeles Lakers leader for a decade, could he remain? Some people says that there will be a possible that the Black Mamba will not be in the starting line-up.
