The Filipino Flash was still celebrating his unanimous decision win over the South African fighter Jeffrey Mathebula last July 7, 2012, but at this point of time his promoter already found an opponent for his next fight.
Nonito Donaire will be fighting against a Mexican fighter but it’s not the boxer in my previous post the WBC super bantamweight champion Abner Mares, had said that he is willing to fight Donaire, even though he knew that there will be a problem because they fight in different boxing promotions that at the same time not in good terms.
And it happens; “Top Rank promoter Bob Arum told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard on Monday morning here in the US that he is finalizing details of the eagerly awaited bout which he said “is about ninety percent sure.” Quoted from a BoxingScene.com post.
Nonito “the Filipino Flash” Donaire (29-1, 18KO’s) will tango with the Mexican warrior Jorge “Travieso” Arce (60-6-2, 46KO’s) somewhere in October at the famed Staples Center, home of the NBA’s most valuable franchise Los Angeles Lakers.
An interesting fight to watch as we all knows that both fighters have a great number of knock outs win. We can expect immense entertaining fight. So let us mark our calendar for this event.
