Michael Jordan’s son Leaves College Team

Published on January 9, 2012 by in NEWS, Sports, World

Jeff Jordan and Marcus Jordan both sons of Chicago Bulls Legend, they both played in Central Florida when Jeff joins Central Florida last May 2010, to play alongside with his younger brother who is the leading scorer of UFC and receiving more consistent playing time.

Last Saturday the school announce that Jeff Jordan will not return to the Knights this semester due to undisclosed “personal reasons”, Neither Jordan nor Central Florida Coach Donnie Jones have gone into greater detail why Jeff Jordan is leaving in the middle of his senior season.

“I thank Coach Jones for the opportunity to be a part of the UCF basketball family,” Jordan said in a news release. “I wish the team and coaching staff much continued success.”

The Jordan brothers produced an occasional highlight or two of this season. But Jeff still didn’t make much of an impact. In his 13 games this season Jeff averaging 2.7 point, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals, those figures had decreased since the starting point guard A.J. Rompza is back.

A.J. Rompza’s returned in UFC won’t miss Jeff much on the court. The Knights hope to make a solid 12-3 start and push the Knights into contention for a Conference USA title and NCAA tournament bid with their trio. A.J. Rompza, Marcus Jordan and forward Keith Clanton are the Knights’ trio.

Jeff Jordan’s decision to leave UCF appears to be the final chapter in the basketball career of a player who grabbed more headlines for his pedigree than his performance.
